I recommend this book not just for Tennis but Life: Relaxed Intensity

Hello everyone I've known about this book ever since my younger brother was attending the International Tennis Academy (Delray Beach) before becoming Club Med. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to improve their mental side of the game as well as outlooks on Life.

A little information about the author. You can also find him on youtube talking about the wholistic approach that he takes to tennis. Too much of todays competition is driven on winning, losing, technique, training where the ultimate experience of feeling happy is taken away by other emotional elements and expectations.

Mr. Bhalla talks about Technique through his wholistic approach. "Technique that is learned on a cellular level. The more active we are in the mind the less connective we are to our body." - Happy Bhalla. click on image.

My personal favourite part in the last few pages of his book read, "The mind is constantly planing and scheming to build itself up and it is this activity that makes peak performance difficult because of the numbers emotional states that arise. Fear, anger, frustration, choking, pressure, etc., are all states of being that arise through the mind and there are two ways to deal with them. One is through rational thought. The other way to deal with it is by falling into silence and cutting them off at their very root. When the mind dies, these emotions die with it. We can only play our best tennis when this silence happens. When the mind falls silent there is no uncertainty, there is no judgment, and there is no pain." (Bhalla 87)

You can find his book on major online stores such as amazon.  Hope you have found his videos and viewpoints inspirational as I have.  Many people who have read this book have gained greater insight to help elevate their game, but to also find more peace in their individual lives.

Back into the swing of things in 2014! My goal is to definitely learn more Thai this year, play more tennis, get into great shape, and as always inspire those who want to become better tennis players. Have a great start everyone to your new year and keep your goals alive and in-line.
