Tennis International: Thank you for coming!!

Good-day to everyone! It was a pretty cool Sunday with a bit of rain in the forecast. Perhaps the flash heavy rain deterred a few more people from coming, but it was good that turned out for the first Tennis International. From the left we had Huiyi (9), Tina (10), Ninja(8), Bobby(9), and Arata(15).

"We'd want to showcase to our audience that APF Academies is very much open to the International Community who live in the Bangkok area. Not only juniors but adults as well. All our coaching staff are able to speak the International English Language. Let us fulfill your tennis urge here at APF Academies. "

Just like all our junior classes we started out with a few light jogs around the court, followed by stretching, and ladder work. Its important to get ourselves loosened up before we start hitting.

This is Bobby. Along with Bobby, Tina and Ninja are all from last weeks 'Camp Sukhumvit' two day tennis & golf camp. It was nice seeing him. It will be exciting to see him in our JF junior program.  Hope you sign-up bobby, Ninja, and Tina!  Huiya and Arata you too in our JF or PP program for Arata.

We ended our event with the serve.  Coach George had scaled the serve for each group using the baseline (stage 1 or regular ball) and from the yellow line (stage 2). Since we had a mixed group in terms of skill and age it was important to cater to each students level. We use the ITF 'play 'n stay' recommended court size and compression balls which is red, orange, and green stages.

"We look forward to putting together our next 'Tennis International Event' for both Juniors and Adults. Our next lesson perhaps will be an adult class for beginners.  We will keep you posted. "

Staff Introduction:
Shinichi George Kidera  APF ACADEMIES COACH

"Tennis is definitely the international sport next to Football a.k.a. soccer. Sports transcends all languages and allow people to come together as a community. Please join us and see what all the fun is about!"

Back into the swing of things in 2014! My goal is to definitely learn more Thai this year, play more tennis, get into great shape, and as always inspire those who want to become better tennis players. Have a great start everyone to your new year and keep your goals alive and in-line.
