March Junior Challenge: Dia Cuarto

Rapidly day four has come to a closing. It was another great day for our junior campers. Here we have Keitaro practicing his swing with a racket cover for added resistance. Everyone got hooked on it.

Check out Mei-chan point of contact. Her stance looks like a pro!  The courts we used had a home-made rug mat attached to a handle used for drying. We basically hung it upside down and used it as a backboard to check our racket face at the point of contact. It was pretty fun except for the dust it created : )

Notice the blue rope directly across the net attached with blue ribbon strips for better visual? Today we practiced hitting over the rope and spinning the ball back inside the court. The kids got a kick out of it!

Had lunch at the Ramen King at the A-Square shopping center. A bit of change from our usual bento box and eating area. I'd the portion were a bit small, but the friendly staff gave us on the house gyoza and shave ice!!

Being a bit creative using foam rollers as targets and also as a wall. Here the kids are trying to hit over the foam roller wall practicing up and over with their serve.
