What an amazing six months starting from the second week of January to the middle of June. I am having a wonderful experience and opportunity working with the Australian International School of Bangkok soi 20 and soi 31 campus. The students, teachers, and staff are all courteous making the school a very special place.
I've realised the amount of positive energy spent engaging with the child directly relates to the amount of understanding and fun for the child. Over the course of six months the children immersed themselves in the sport. Everything from what is a forehand, backhand, volley, and serve to understanding how to play the game, serve, rally, and score. When put together it was truly amazing to see how the children responded. The goal is to make the students self efficient enough to play the game on their own.
As a coach, teacher, mentor, it is very rewarding to see what you put in is what you get out. The children at AISB are energetic, cooperative, and thankful to their peers and instructors.
The following Monday starts the four week summer school programs where I look forward to working with seven new students.
